uMoya-NILU provides specialist air quality studies as input to Environmental Impact Assessments, Atmospheric Impact Reports (AIR) and Atmospheric Emission License (AEL) applications. Included are baseline air quality assessments, specialist air quality studies, dispersion modelling, emission inventory compilation and assessment and mitigation planning.
Air quality baseline and impact assessments for industrial development projects and for AQMPs require input in a number of specialised areas. While dispersion modelling is often the primary assessment approach, it is supported by ambient air quality and meteorological monitoring and emission determination.
The range of skills required are resident at uMoya-NILU, providing a single-consultancy specialist team. The team has developed considerable experience through numerous impact assessment projects of different scales for industry and mining throughout southern Africa, including Namibia, Mozambique, Zambia and of course, South Africa.
