----- Air Quality Management -----

uMoya-NILU offers services in the development of Air Quality Management Plans (AQMP) for different spatial scales including AQMP for provinces, districts or metros.  Specialist offerings include definition of the management area, emission inventory development and emission reduction strategies for individual industrial sites or for industrial complexes and GHG emission assessment and management.

Projects: Air Quality Management Plans for the Western Cape Province and Highveld Priority Area (on-going).

----- Specialist Studies -----

uMoya-NILU provides specialist air quality studies as input to Environmental Impact Assessments and Atmospheric Emission License (AEL) applications. Included are baseline air quality assessments, specialist air quality studies, dispersion modelling, emission inventory compilation and assessment, mitigation planning and specialist input to AEL applications.

Projects: Air quality assessments for the Moatize coal mine and Benga power plant in Mozambique, Kgalagadi Manganese smelter in Coega, Hartebeesfontein wastewater treatment works, and Transnet's New Multi-Products Pipeline.

----- Ambient Monitoring -----

uMoya-NILU’s service offering in Ambient Monitoring includes the design, optimisation and management of Ambient Air Quality monitoring networks, as well as Data Management and Quality Control / Quality Assurance. uMoya-NILU offers monitoring services that include real time gas and particulate analysers, dust fall out buckets and passive samplers for campaign or long term monitoring purposes.  Sampling can be performed for a range of organic and inorganic pollutants.

Projects: Fenceline passive monitoring for Sapref and Engen Refineries, Design of air quality management system for Port of Durban, Commission and operation of ambient monitoring station for KZN provincial government, and Maintenance and operation of ambient monitoring network for NW provincial government.

Through our partnership with NILU, uMoya-NILU utilises their extensive analytical capabilities which are recognised throughout the EU to offer our clients direct access to a quality assured and quality controlled analytical service. The analytical capabilities extend to an extensive range of inorganic and organic analytes, low detection levels, coupled with rapid turn around times.
